Accessing the Statistics Page

  • Location: Find the Statistics Page in the left-hand side menu bar under the "Statistics" area.

Key Features and Data

  1. Editing Class View

    • Class Selection: Click the class selection dropdown at the top to choose the class you want to view.
    • Subject Toggle: Toggle between different subjects using the subject dropdown menu.
  2. Class and Year Group Overview

    • Graphs and Lines:
      • Blue Line: Represents the average score of the selected class or study group.
      • Yellow Line: Represents the year group average specifically at your school.
      Ideal for multi-form entry schools or for comparing a single group against the overall year group.
  3. Score Scale Explanation

    • Student Score: Indicates the likelihood of a child correctly answering a question of average difficulty.
      • Above 50%: Area of strength.
      • Below 50%: Area for development.
    • Example: For punctuation, a score of 69.1% indicates a strength, whereas a score around 45-46% indicates a challenge.
  4. Detailed Breakdown

    • Individual Child Scores:
      • Table Sorting: Sort by subject score to see which students are finding subjects most challenging and which are coping better.
      • Subtopic Breakdown: On the right side, sort by subtopic to identify strengths and areas needing improvement.
    • Red Dots: Indicate students working 30 points or more below the class average.

Practical Applications

  • Report Writing and Parent Evenings:
    • Quickly identify areas where a student is significantly behind their peers.
    • Provide targeted support based on detailed performance data.

  • Individual Student Scorecard:
    • Access: Click on a student's name to view their scorecard.
