If you are trying to add a staff member and seeing an error message when saving, that colleague's email address may already be in use elsewhere on the Atom platfom.
Sometimes teachers register their school email address as a parent or tutor on our other platforms. An email address can only be used to access one platform at a time. If you are inputting their school email address and the email is already in use elsewhere, you will see an error message stating:
"Couldn't save the changes. Please try again."
If this occurs:
- speak to your colleague and see if they can change the email address they're using for the other account, e.g. if they've registered as a parent, can they change the email address to a personal one.
- If they're not sure where they're registered, ask them to contact schools@atomlearning.co.uk. We will be able to identify where the address is in use and delete it or edit it as required.
After the address has been changed, you will be able to save your colleague's details on the school platform.
