Why is my student seeing a padlock next to their homework?

Students without an activate Parent Portal cannot access their account outside school hours (8:30am - 4pm).

As Atom is an online platform, safeguarding and GDPR is our utmost priority, so an activated parent account gives parents/guardians oversight of their children’s activities on the platform and is a necessary part of our safeguarding provision.

 

Your student will see a padlock next to their work on their Atom School account if their parent account is not activated. 

 

To activate it, parents should follow the steps outlined below. Once activated, your student will be able to complete the work you have set. You are welcome to share this video. Hover over the video and click "copy link" from the top right.

If a parent has already activated their parent account and the lock is still appearing, please advise them to reset their password via this link and this should resolve it.
