Scheduling homework on Atom helps plan ahead and save time. However, sometimes tasks don't go live as scheduled. Here's why and how to fix it.
- Active Task Limit: If there are 5 or more active tasks in the same subject for the same students, new tasks won't go live to avoid overwhelming students and teachers.
- Checking Active Tasks: Go to your Activities area to see active tasks. You may need to check "All School Activities" if other teachers set work in the same subject for the same students.
- Freeing Up Space:
- End existing classwork tasks by clicking "View Progress" and then "Stop Activity."
- Do the same for any active homework tasks where the due date has passed.
- Manual Start for Missed Tasks:
- If the start date has passed, edit the scheduled task and click "Set Activity Now" to make it live immediately.
- Best Practice:
- Use the stop activity function to automatically remove tasks from students' and your lists the day after they are due, keeping to-do lists uncluttered.
